Replacement thermostat for 970733 offset oil filter adapter. Supplied as a complete service kit; with gaskets; used to to install thermostatic actuator in Jagg''s 970733 offset oil filter adapter. Kit components are designed to keep the oil by-pass hole open until the oil surrounding the thermostatic actuator reaches 185ºF (85°C). The thermostatic actuator begins movement at 185ºF (85°C) and by 195ºF (90.6°C) closes the by-pass hole completely; sending 100% of the oil to the oil cooler.
