BDL, 3" Street Drive belt

With ball bearing lock up clutch. No starter motor; no oil filter. This 3" electric start belt drive is designed to be used on 70-78 Shovelhead models with the ratchet top type 4-speed transmission; with rear chain only. Modifications are necessary to install this kit. Amongst others: When fitted to FX models; the oil tank bracket must be cut to allow proper fitment of the starter. On FL models this modification is not necessary. On both FL; FX models a L79-86 clutch arm (MCS 516400; OEM 37054-79A) must be used. Some clearancing work on this arm is needed. The Street Drive is; and has been; the standard in 3" open drives for years. Complete with the performance proven standard BDL (ETC) clutch. With 76-47 drive ratio. Note: A BDL starter is available as 518658. Any other 89-93 model starter motor can also be used; as long as it has stock dimensions. Note: See 506920 for the replacement 3" wide 144t; 8mm belt.
