Late model Sportsters with forward controls like the XL1200C (Custom) X (Forty-Eight) and V (Seventy-Two) are equipped with a different style rider foot peg; which will not take this traditional H-D male mount rider peg. This conversion kit allows you to re-use all regular traditional H-D male mount foot pegs so virtually all custom pegs will fit.Note: If converting standard forward controls to extended; a longer shifter linkage rod (101/4" long) is also required. We suggest using the 2" extension 968028 or 541485 along with the original linkage rod.
