The fluid contains inhibitors that prevent corrosion of metal brake parts and reduce oxidation at high temperatures. This means that acidic breakdown products cannot accumulate. The brake fluid has a high wet and dry boiling point; which guarantees safe braking even with considerable moisture absorption during longer use. Special flushing agents contribute to protection against steam bubble formation.
