Offers a very high dry boiling point; is non-aggressive and safe for paint; plastics surfaces; clothing and such. Note that DOT 5 silicone is not hygroscopic so will not absorb water like regular brake fluids do. Therefore the brake system must be drained 100% to prevent any water-pockets remaining anywhere in the system which may cause vapor-lock and total brake failure. DOT 5 silicone is not very foam resistant and therefore not compatible with ABS or ASR\/TCS systems. DOT 5 silicone cannot be mixed with other brake fluids. Exceeds the requirements of US FMVSS 116 DOT 5 specification. Note: For use in all hydraulic clutch systems and all brake systems specifying DOT 5 silicone brake fluids.
